The following policies have been developed for the comfort and protection of both the Inn and our Guests. Please familiarize yourself with them as you will be asked to accept and abide by them when making a reservation with our Nevada City property near Grass Valley CA.

Our regular rates range from $74.95 to $169 per night for two people, depending upon the season, size, amenities, and location of the cottage. Extra guests are $10 each night. Children up to 24 months are free. Rates shown are exclusive of 10% Nevada County/City travel tax.

Premium pricing may apply year round on some Holidays and Major Events as well as on one night stays for “in season” weekends when available.


Deposits

Reservations may be held with a Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Discover or cold-hard cash. A confirmation letter or email will be sent upon the approval of your credit card. Deposits must be paid with a Major Credit Card. The remaining balance may be paid with a debit card upon arrival.

There are many administrative costs associated with making, changing and canceling a reservation, including labor costs, fees for credit card charges and reservation system royalties that we pay to third parties for the use of their proprietary property once you make a reservation and whether you fulfill your reservation or not. Therefore, we charge a non-refundable $25.00 deposit per cottage when you make your reservation (applied upon arrival). This takes the cottage out of our on-line reservation system for you. Once, that cottage, in that price range, is no longer available to other potential guests on-line, it has been rented to you for that date in the future.

Larger deposits and minimum nights may be required on extended stays and “blocks of 3 or more cottages”. CALL FOR DETAILS Before booking  530-265-2245  8am-9pm

Cancellations and Reservation Changes

A 7 day cancellation notice is required for all reservations. A 14 day notice is required for holidays and major events and 30 days is required for a “3 or more cottages” block as well as some extended stays.

No shows and last minute cancellations that cannot be filled will be charged up to 100% of the confirmed reservation. Reservations will be considered confirmed when an email or letter has been sent to the address provided by you.

Cancellations and reservation change requests must be in writing and sent from the email address that you provided when making your reservation. If your cancellation or change request is already inside of the required notification time when we receive it, we will put the Cottage(s) back into the on-line system to be re-sold. If we are able to re-sell the cottage(s), we will refund all but the $25.00 (or otherwise negotiated) initial deposit to the card used for that deposit.

We do not refund for circumstances beyond our control; i.e.: inclement weather, illness, etc.

Prices and policies are subject to change without notice until reservations are confirmed.

We reserve the right to refuse service when necessary.

Minimum Night Requirements

A two night minimum is required for weekends “in season” April 16 – Jan 5 (dates are approximate).

Two and Three night minimums may apply year round on some Holidays and Major Events.

Management reserves the right to reassign cottages when necessary.

(This rarely happens but usually results in a free upgrade).

Some “one night” stays on “in season” weekends may be available.

Arrivals & Departures

Check-in: 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. Check-Out: 11 A.M.

Special arrangements are made for our guests who need to arriveafter 6pm. (Call for details)

We ask you to please observe our Check-In and Check-Out Times so we can prepare the units properly and avoid delays for our incoming guests.

Late check-out (no charge – if available) is 12:00 pm.

Very Late check-out: Extend your stay until 4:00 pm. ($40.00 – if available)

Check with the office on your departure morning for availability.

Smoking & Pets

Smoking is limited to the outdoors. Ashtrays are provided throughout the property

We regret that we are not equipped to receive pets as guests anywhere on the property.

Evidence of smoking (including Cannabis or burning of incense) or pets having been inside the Cottage(s) will result in a $250.00 cleaning fee and the season’s Cottage Rate  for each day that the cottage is unavailable to other guests due to damage or odor cessation.

Cottage Dishes

Each Cottage kitchenette is equipped with dishware and flatware for 2, 4, or 6 persons depending on the size of the cottage. Because we provide real dishes in each cottage (not throw away plastic stuff) we do ask that they be left clean (not just rinsed) for the next guest. You may leave them out to dry and we will put them away.

Express Check Out: for a nominal fee they may be left for housekeeping to attend to upon check out.

Should you choose Express Check Out, housekeeping will do them for you. A charge of $10, $20 or $30 (depending on the Cottage) will be charged to the credit card on file.

We will clear and wash all of the breakfast dishes delivered with your breakfast tray.

Housekeeping/Cottage Refresh

Our Daily Rates include a light daily tidy-up housekeeping service. This consists of straightening beds, (vacuuming & mopping floors when necessary), providing fresh towels if requested or found on the floor (please help conserve resources by reusing when possible) and refurbishing the amenities (such as soap, shampoo & toilet paper as well as kitchenette amenities, [coffee, tea, cocoa, etc.]). This service is provided between the hours of 11am & 3pm. Please let us know if you would prefer not to receive housekeeping services. Weekly and Extended Stay guests may request daily housekeeping services for an extra charge.

 

Broken or Damaged Items

Sometimes things get broken due to misuse or from normal wear and tear. We’ve gotten pretty good over the years at distinguishing the difference.

Please let us know if something has become broken or damaged as we will make assessments on a per item basis.

Bath & River Towels

Please do not take the white bath towels to the river. We have river towels for the asking. The white bath and hand towels are only for drying clean bodies.

Please use only the colored wash cloths to remove facial make-up.

Excessively stained towels and linens could result in extra cleaning charges.

Parking and Speed limit

The speed limit while on the property is 5 MPH at all times.

Due to the need to have access for emergency vehicles and for the safety of others, Parking is allowed only in designated parking areas.

Parking in the oval driveway surrounding the courtyard is limited to a

10 minute loading and unloading time period. Please be courteous.

Non-conforming vehicles will/may be towed at owner’s expense.

Grounds/Courtyard & BBQs

The courtyard here on Piety Hill is for all to enjoy. Please keep other guests courteously in mind.

There are utensils for the barbeques in the blue box in the courtyard closest to the office. Please wash and return the utensils immediately after use so that others have access to them.

Please brush the BBQ grill as soon as you remove your food so that it is ready for the next guest.

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates are available in any denomination and can be mailed to the purchaser or directly to the recipient.
