Do you serve breakfast?

We do not offer breakfast or other dining services. If you are looking for a great meal, we are happy to make recommendations for our favorite local restaurants.


Can I purchase a gift certificate for Piety Hill Cottages?

What time are Check-in and Check-out?

Check-in begins at 3:00 pm. While our office is not open 24 hours, guests may check in anytime before midnight using our contactless check-in procedure. Check-out is at 11:00 am.


How does your contactless check-in procedure work?

When you arrive, you’ll find a locked check-in kiosk outside of the front office. Inside will be your welcome packet containing your key and information for your stay. You’ll receive a welcome email 24 hours prior to your stay with the lock combination and detailed instructions for check-in.

Are pets allowed at Piety Hill Cottages?

Yes! We’re happy to have well behaved dogs visit Piety Hill Cottages. We have four pet friendly units, our White Birch, Laurel, Chestnut and Maple Cottages. When you book a pet friendly cottage online you’ll have the option to add your your pup to the reservation. Pets are not permitted in other units. Our $50 pet fee covers up to two dogs for three nights and additional nights are billed at $15. Guests planning to bring a dog must add the pet fee option to their reservation and complete the pet policies agreement form prior to arrival. Additional details on our pet policies can be found here. You may also see our resident pup, Moose, around the office or in her fenced yard. Moose is very friendly with adults and children and would love to say hello, but please ask a staff member before petting Moose or approaching her with your own dog.

What is your smoking policy?

Piety Hill Cottages is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms or anywhere on the grounds.

Is your property quiet?

Our quiet hours are from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am to ensure all guests may have a relaxing stay.

How many guests can stay in a room?

Our cottages vary in size and accommodate different numbers of guests. Please review our room descriptions to learn about the different cottages available. When you book, please be sure to enter the correct number of guests to confirm your selected cottage can accommodate you. All rates are based on two person occupancy. There is an additional fee of $20 per guest per night for additional guests.

Are outside guests allowed at Piety Hill Cottages?

In order to maintain a safe and relaxing environment for all our guests, only registered guests are allowed in guest rooms or on our grounds, with the exception of scheduled gatherings approved in advance by management. 

What is your cancellation policy?

Seven days notice is required for cancellation for most reservations. For holidays and the surrounding dates, major calendar events, extended stays over 28 days, 14 days notice is required for cancellation. Group reservations and reservations made as part of a room block, one month cancellation is required. Cancellation requests must be in writing. Please reply to your booking email in order to cancel. We cannot guarantee refunds for cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control (inclement weather, wildfire smoke, illness, etc.)

I’m not happy with my stay and I’d like a refund.

If there is an issue with your room, we would like the chance to make it right! Please notify management immediately with any problems or concerns. We do not offer refunds if you choose to end your stay early as a result of an issue or issues without giving us the opportunity to remedy the problem. Please keep in mind that Piety Hill Cottages is an old property constructed in the 1930’s and has seen no major renovations since it was built. During your stay you’ll find quirky room layouts, compact bathrooms with low shower heads, occasionally temperamental plumbing, older heating and cooling systems and many other quirks typical of rustic country cabins of the era. Most guests adore the vintage charm of our cottages but we are by no means a luxury property and a stay with us is not to the taste of all travelers. We do not offer refunds for complaints related to the size or age of our units (or system within) or room details apparent from our website’s photos or property descriptions.
