Piety Hill Cottages Pet Policies

At Piety Hill Cottages, we are dog friendly to friendly dogs! Dogs are welcome in our Laurel, Chestnut, Maple and White Birch Cottages. Pets are not permitted in other units. If you plan to bring your dog along for your upcoming stay, please carefully review and sign our pet policies below before your arrival. 

  1. Dogs must be approved in advance by management. Please call or email us at least 48 hours prior to check-in if you are hoping to bring your dog with you for your stay. 

  2. We charge a pet fee of $50 for stays 1-3 nights in length. For reservations 4 nights or longer, we charge $15 per additional night. If extra cleaning is required due to shedding, damage to carpets etc, additional cleaning fees will be charged to the credit card on file. 

  3. No more than 2 pets are permitted in any room. Only pets listed on the pet policy form are permitted on premises. 

  4. Pet(s) must be accompanied by their owner at all times. Pet(s) may not be left unattended in guest rooms or in vehicles. 

  5. Dogs that are known to be aggressive or vicious, or dogs that have displayed aggressive or vicious behavior in the past are not permitted on Piety Hill Cottages grounds at any time.

  6. Guests must clean up after their pet(s) and properly dispose of all waste.

  7. Guests are responsible for and will be charged for any damage to the premises caused by their pet(s). Damages include, but are not limited to, damages to floors, carpets, drapes, screens, landscaping, fencing, including odors due to the presence of pets. If a guest room must be removed from service to repair damage caused by pet(s), the guest’s card will be billed for the seasonal rate for any days the unit is unavailable to other guests.

  8. Pet(s) must be leased at all times when on Piety Hill Cottages grounds unless inside your guest room or vehicle.

  9. Pets must be housebroken, have no vicious tendencies or history of threatening or causing harm to persons or other animals by biting, scratching, chewing or otherwise.

  10. Pets must be properly licensed and vaccinated pursuant to applicable laws. Management may request proof of licensing and vaccination at any time.

  11. Cats, birds and and all other pets are only permitted with advanced approval of management. Please call our office if you would like to bring a pet other than a dog.

  12. If pet(s) causes excessive noise, disturb other guests or cause any other nuisance or disturbance, or if any of the above policies are violated, management reserves the right to discontinue your stay at Piety Hill Cottages. If we must ask you to leave due to any issues with your pet(s), no refunds will be made. 

  13. Management may revoke permission to have a pet at any time.

  14. Guest agrees to indemnify and hold Piety Hill Cottages, Nine Coins LLC, their owners and agents harmless from all liability, claims, demands, damages and costs for injuries to persons or property in connection with Guest’s pet(s).

  15. If evidence of pets is found without prior approval, or if any of our pet policies are violated, a $250 fee will be billed to the credit card on file. 

These Pet Policies also apply to service animals with exception of any policy that conflicts with ADA regulations, in which case the ADA regulation will supersede our Pet Policies.
